Three, conveyor belt joint bonding

The bonding of conveyor belt joints mainly includes three forms: cold bonding, hot curing bonding and mechanical bonding. 1, cold bonding compared to hot vulcanization bonding, cold bonding cost is lower, the process is simple, suitable for short and medium distance belt conveyor joint bonding. Cold bonding adopts layered bonding method, the main steps are as follows :(1) the joint production according to the size length of greater than 1/2 of the bandwidth, with cutting knives and other tools will be layered cutting belt at the joint, peeling into a stepped lap surface (the number of steps is generally not less than 3). When cutting each layer, do not hurt the canvas and other tissues, and the edge of the belt should be cut flat with the knitting layer. Note: the lap length is generally 0.6~0.8 of the width of the conveyor belt. The general principle is that the longer the conveyor belt, the longer the lap length.

(2) surface treatment with a steel wire brush carefully grind the surface to be bonded, remove the residual layer, coarsening the exposed knitted fabric body, but do not damage the canvas and other knitted fabric body. Brush the dander, clean and decontaminate it with cleaning agent, and dry it fully. After each brush coating, such as the film surface dry (that is, after the solvent volatilization, to do not adhere to the back of the finger and a sense of adhesive force) again when the glue. (5) After bonding the coated surface, the two ends of the tape should be firmly bonded according to the direction of belt operation. With the hand hammer from the middle to beat around 2~3 times, exhaust the air between the two lap surfaces.

(6) after the curing belt joint is bonded, it should be cured to the continent for 120 minutes at room temperature, then the scene can be cleaned. If conditions permit, prolonging the curing time will make the bonding effect better. The belt is bonded in a low temperature or wet environment, and the curing time is extended to long enough, generally 24 hours, except for the baking place.
